Before Mother’s Day that falls May 9th That year, China Media Group (CMG) posted a story on Saturday telling how Qi set a role model for the Chinese president to honor motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers on society.
Over the years, Qi taught her son three important life lessons: pure and selfless devotion to the nation; Honesty and self-discipline; and constant commitment to putting aside personal well-being for the benefit of people.
Qi, who was born in 1924, resigned from the Communist Party China (CPC) in 1939 at the age of 15 and became a staunch supporter of the party’s values and beliefs.
The woman recalls two special experiences in the following ages: She spent two years near the front lines during the Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japanese aggression. Another eight years of working with farmers in the northwest China helped her to build a special bond with people.
The mother’s experience resonates in the son. Similarly, Xi put on his backpack and left home at the age of 15 to live and work with farmers in northwestern Liangjiahe Village China Shaanxi Province.
During the years in the country, Xi was accompanied by a sewing bag embroidered with “Mama’s Heart” of qi. The words were intended to remind Xi to remain true to his original pursuit of the land and the revolutionary cause shared by both mother and son.
Throughout Xi’s upbringing, his mother often tells him to be strict with himself, especially when he is in managerial positions.
Qi took the motto “work well, study well, and manage everything well” to heart in life and encouraged her son to follow the same guideline.
Her supportive words greatly inspired her son to serve the public with the aim of making a good life for Chinese families.
