Peterlee: Student of St Bede’s RC Comprehensive School at Prom

County Durham School students were delighted to attend a parent-organized prom after the event was canceled due to Covid

The 11th grade students at St Bede’s RC Comprehensive in Peterlee enjoyed an evening at the Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham.

To pay for their tickets, 35 students dressed up and made their way to the prom using all means of transport.

Some came in their own cars, others in luxury cars – and some even on a pedal bike.

The students raised an additional £ 980 through a raffle and cupcake sales.

The additional money was used to cover the rental of a photo booth and an LED dance floor. It also paid off for other extras like balloons and a donut wall.

One parent said, “The kids had an absolutely fantastic night after having had a terrible year with Covid. “They were so happy that it could go on.

The Nordecho:

“We understand how hard it was for school to deal with the pandemic and understand why they couldn’t put on the prom because we all know what it was like.”

They enjoyed a hot buffet and disco provided by the hotel.

The raffle prizes were provided by the parents.
