CLAIRTON, PA. – A Clairton family searches for answers after their stepfather tries to deliver pizza on Saturday night.
Steve Linn, 64, is in the hospital after being beaten. His stepson Keith says he helped and it took him a while to get back to the pizza place. So they tried to call him and eventually got a call back from first responders saying there was a crime scene in North Third in Clairton.
Keith rushed over and after seeing his father he was convinced this wasn’t just a robbery.

“They hit him so hard that they ripped open his skull. You can see the trail of whole blood everywhere he went for help. They beat him badly, they beat him – they tried to kill him. “
Keith said his stepfather is now life support. He says his stepfather was driving a red limousine at the time of the attack.
Keith’s wife said she wished she could have prevented this.
“It’s my fault he was out there that I should have understood that this isn’t the first time someone has called trying to place a messy order.”
Keith stated that Steve is still in the hospital.
“Right now he’s in a coma, he’s not responding, he’s got breathing tubes, we hope he can do it,” said Keith. “They’re waiting for brain surgery, they’re not sure he needs one. They asked her about his wishes, whether they wanted to revive him or just let him be … “
It’s been a difficult time for this family. Kanal 11 made contact but has not received an update from the police. The family said they are offering a $ 5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
