But someone in need of a sedan obviously decided that it was too expensive, too vulgar, or maybe too simple to make. This Volkswagen Beetle sedan is the end result. It is currently up for an online auction with a bid of £ 1,540 as we write, with six days left.

Converted early to a Beeeeetle, it was used as a wedding car and only has 2,200 miles on the clock. The passenger compartment has a bit of luxury, with soft upholstery and disco lighting. It’s equipped just enough to make you almost forget that you are in the back of an ordinary Volkswagen. Mind you, the driver’s area is still full of dreary plastic and still has that shitty plastic flower in the vase on the dashboard.

Meanwhile, the body hides the mess and looks almost like it came from the factory – probably not simply given the curve shape of the Beetle. The color and shutlines are reasonably well coordinated and the vinyl roof is intact. Even though he’s not in the garage on wedding duty, a few small rust stains appear.
