As the clouds of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from Juventus grew thicker and he relocated his row of expensive cars from his home in Turin, the Portuguese star strongly hinted at his exit from the club in a long Instagram post.
The 36-year-old striker, who has a contract with Juve until the summer of 2022, has been delighted with what he has achieved with the Old Lady this season, including Tim Cup, Super Cup title and Serie A top scorer during congratulating Inter Milan on winning the league, he also felt he had achieved the goals he had set himself from the day he set foot in Italy.
“The life and career of any top player is made up of ups and downs,” wrote Cristiano on Instagram. “Year after year we face fantastic teams with exceptional players and ambitious goals. That’s why we always have to do our best to keep ourselves at an excellent level.”
“We didn’t win Serie A this year. We congratulate Inter on the well-deserved title. I must, however, appreciate everything we have achieved at Juventus this season, both collectively and individually. The Italian Super Cup, the Italians The Cup and the Serie A Cup as top scorer make me very lucky, mostly because of the difficulties they bring in a country where nothing is easy to win.
“With these successes I have achieved a goal that I had set myself since I arrived in Italy: to win the championship, the trophy and the Super Cup and also to be the best player and top scorer in this great football country.” with great players, huge clubs and their own football culture.
“I already said that I don’t chase records, records chase me. For those who don’t understand what I mean by that, it’s very simple: football is a collective game, but by overcoming it individually, we help our teams achieve their goals It is always on the lookout for more and more of the field, more and more of the outside of the field, that eventually records emerge and collective titles become inevitable, some of which are the natural consequence of the other.
“I am very proud of this fact, which has been largely repeated in the last few days: champions in England, Spain and Italy; cup winners in England, Spain and Italy; super cup winners in England, Spain and Italy; best player in.” England, Spain and Italy, top scorer in England, Spain and Italy, over 100 goals for a club in England, Spain and Italy. Nothing compares to the feeling of knowing that I have left my mark in the countries I have played in and that I have made the fans of the clubs I represent happy. This is what I work for, it moves me and I will always follow it until the last day.
“Thank you to everyone who took part in this trip! We stand together!”
