County contract with limousine service again stretched

Miami-Dade commissioners approved without discussion a resolution waiving competitive bidding for a $9 million contract with Limousines of South Florida Inc. (LSF) to continue providing transportation and disinfecting services from February of this year until February 2023.

The approval, granted Tuesday, marks the sixth extension since the county first entered into contract with the company, first agreed to with the City of Miami. The county is to pay transportation services at the hourly rate of $55.98 and disinfecting services at a fixed amount of $9 per vehicle, and fuel costs are covered by the transportation department.
